AAC Conductors

Kenter Cables / Our Products  / Conductors / AAC Conductors

Description

This conductor is also known as aluminium stranded conductor. This conductor is manufactured from electrolytically refined (E.C.GRADE) aluminium, having a purity of a minimum of 99.5% of aluminium. All aluminium conductors are made up of one or more strands of aluminium wire depending on the end use. These conductors are also used extensively used in coastal areas because it has a very high degree of corrosion resistance.

Application

AAC has seen extensive use in urban areas where spans are usually short but high conductivity us required. The excellent corrosion resistance of aluminium has made AAC a conductor of choice in coastal areas. Because of its relatively poor strength to weight ratio, AAC had limited use in transmission lines and rural distribution because of long spans utilized.

Technical Advantages & Features

1) High Current Carrying Capacity

2) Excellent resistance to corrosion

3) Ideal for use in coastal area

4) Suitable for low & medium voltage lines in urban area
